Description
The Macromatic TCF2F is a flange-mounted seal leak and over-temperature relay specifically engineered to protect submersible pump motors from thermal overload and fluid contamination. Designed as a direct replacement for Flygt submersible pumps equipped with FLA or CLS sensors (Flygt Mini-CAS style relays), the TCF2F operates on a 120 VAC control supply and features a door-mountable flange enclosure for convenient panel-face installation and visual monitoring.
This dual-function protection relay monitors motor cavity resistance via a 5 VDC pulsed probe signal to detect seal breaches, while concurrently monitoring the motor’s normally closed (N.C.) thermal switch for over-temperature conditions. Unlike standard socket-mounted models, the TCF2F offers selectable Automatic or Manual reset modes for over-temperature trips, incorporating a front-panel reset button. Top-mounted dual-color LEDs (TEMP and LEAK) provide clear visual diagnostics for normal operation and fault conditions, making it an essential component for municipal lift stations and industrial wastewater pumping installations.
