Description
The Macromatic PMPU-FA8 is a universal 3-phase line voltage monitoring relay engineered to protect heavy industrial equipment, motors, and HVAC compressors from catastrophic power fault damage. Operating across an expansive nominal voltage range of 190 to 500 VAC (with an actual monitored range of 156 to 550 VAC), the PMPU-FA8 uses True RMS voltage measurement technology to deliver precise voltage sensing across distorted or harmonic-laden line supplies.
This 8-pin plug-in relay continuously monitors incoming 3-phase power against five critical fault conditions: phase loss, phase reversal, phase unbalance, undervoltage, and overvoltage. Upon detecting a fault, the 10A SPDT relay de-energizes after a calibrated time delay to disconnect the load and prevent motor overheating or mechanical failure. Featuring a top-mounted bi-color diagnostic LED that retains fault codes even during a total phase loss, the PMPU-FA8 supports automatic reset upon fault recovery or manual reset via an external normally closed (N.C.) push button connected across pins 6 and 7.
