Description
The Macromatic PBDU is an ultra-compact 17.5 mm (0.69 in) DIN rail-mounted 3-phase voltage monitoring relay designed to protect industrial machinery, motors, and commercial HVAC equipment from primary power quality faults. Operating across a universal line voltage range of 208 to 480 VAC (monitored range of 187 to 528 VAC), this modular relay continuously guards against phase loss, phase reversal, and phase unbalance.
Featuring front-panel analog adjustment, the PBDU allows operators to fine-tune phase unbalance sensitivity from 5% to 25%, or disable unbalance protection entirely if required. Upon detecting a phase fault, the unit executes a fast 100 ms (0.1 second) fixed trip delay to de-energize its 5A SPDT output contacts and isolate connected loads. Clear front-face LEDs provide immediate visual status (Green for Power ON, Yellow for Relay Energized), making the PBDU an economical, space-saving choice for industrial automation and motor control panels.
