Description

The ControlByWeb® GRI-2605 is a reliable 5 VDC water sensor engineered for early leak detection to prevent costly water damage from leaking pipes, water heaters, HVAC condensation pans, and sump basins. Designed with solid-state electronics and no moving mechanical parts, this sensor delivers long-term dependability and continuous leak monitoring in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Operating via a moisture bridge across its contacts, the GRI-2605 detects standing conductive liquids as shallow as 1/16 in. Once moisture is detected, the sensor outputs a 5 VDC signal to a connected ControlByWeb digital input, instantly triggering automated actions such as sending email or text alerts, logging event data, or switching relays to close shutoff valves or activate pumps. The unit features an automatic reset function that returns the system to normal once the sensor dries, and comes equipped with a 6 ft jacketed lead for flexible installation in tight or hard-to-reach areas.
