Description
The Mersen HSJ35 is an advanced 35A high-speed Class J fuse from the Amp-Trap® HSJ series, engineered to combine strict UL branch-circuit performance with exceptionally low I2t semiconductor protection. Rated for 600 VAC and 500 VDC, it protects sensitive power electronics such as diodes, SCRs, GTOs, and solid-state relays while satisfying standard NEC feeder and branch circuit requirements.
Featuring a robust ferrule-type terminal design with tin-plated copper connections, the HSJ35 offers a high-breaking interrupting capacity of up to 200 kA. Built with a durable GMG body, it measures 1.06″ in diameter and 2.38″ in length (27 x 60.5 mm) and is designed for standard clip mounting.
Key Features
- Dual Protection Performance: Combines low I2t semiconductor protection with standard UL Class J branch-circuit performance into a single compact fuse.
- High Voltage Ratings: Certified for up to 600 VAC and 500 VDC to accommodate demanding AC and DC power distribution architectures.
- Exceptional Interrupting Capacity: Provides up to 200 kA AC max breaking capacity (I.R.) for superior fault clearance.
- Tin-Plated Copper Terminals: Ferrule-type connections ensure low resistance, excellent thermal conductivity, and long-term corrosion resistance.
- Semiconductor & Branch Safe: Ideal for safeguarding power electronics (SCRs, diodes, SSRs) while complying with NEC installation standards.
